Seamstress, fashion designer, singer-songwriter, athlete, and mother are just a few words that describe Laura Hlavac (Pronounced “Luh - vawk”). Born and raised in Stillwater, Minnesota, Laura developed a love for sewing and design at a young age. As a child, the sewing machine was her favorite toy! After graduating from the University of Minnesota’s School of Design, she began her career developing and manufacturing clothing lines for athleticwear companies. She continued to work on lines that ended up in big box stores for over a decade, until she shifted back to her roots and established a business of her own. The concept of her brand developed organically as she created her own WFH (Work From Home) lifestyle (pre-pandemic). As a working mother and social butterfly, she needed clothing that could transition seamlessly from home to client meetings to children’s school events to nights out on the town, without compromising comfort. Thus, the LH brand was born, comprised of exclusive custom-made fabrics, unique “DNA” stitching embellishments, and the LH signature flair for intriguing prints. Laura’s high-spirited energy and limitless creativity drive her mission to empower women to embody their best selves. She believes that when women wear clothing that fits perfectly, flatters their body, and feels amazing - they can do anything!
